Presented by regulatory expert and trainer – Karen D. Hamel, CSP, CIT, WACH.
Overview: Spill Preparedness
Why respond to spills when you can prevent them? Spill mitigation is often equated with spill response – but the truth is that some of the best forms of spill mitigation can be put into place proactively: long before a spill ever happens.
Because it’s hard to predict the moment when a valve will start to leak or when a truck will back into an oil-filled container, being prepared for these and other likely scenarios before they happen is often the difference between a minor cleanup and a reportable release.
